ABOUT THE EASTERN DISTRICT

The United Brotherhood of Carpenters Eastern District comprises three Regional Carpenter Councils, uniting more than 91,000 highly skilled craftspeople. 

 

Our councils—North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, the New York City District Council of Carpenters, and the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters—span 14 states and Washington DC. 

 

The Eastern District is part of the The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC), one of North America’s largest building trades unions, with over a half-million members. 

 

Our members power the construction industry with expertise in craftsmanship, leadership, and teamwork.

 

Our District fosters collaboration and rapid expansion of best practices across the region.

  • Move the industry forward

  • Establish new markets in each Council

  • Standardize services and programs across the District

  • Enhance UBC political effectiveness through coordinated activities

  • Develop a program to target legislators on UBC issues
